Hitting from a freshly mowed fairway is hard to duplicate in any practice mat - until Fairway Feel®. A thick
natural fiber range mat that requires no maintenance, accepts a tee, and is 100% biodegradable. Fairway
Feel® can be inlaid in the ground like sod, eliminating costly concrete pads. After installation, no time
consuming top dressing or surface preparation is required. Great for tee areas on the range as relief for or
in place of grass or as a temporary teeing area on regular tees where grass is hard to maintain or for winter

FEATURES: Fairway Feel mats have a plush pile of "coir" fibers woven on special looms with a polypropylene binder in the backing for extra durability, resulting in a thick uniform surface that more closely simulates grass than any other product on the market - guaranteed. Fairway Feel mats are thick enough to accept a tee yet forgiving enough to get under and through the ball with no "bounce" or "skip" for a truer shot result than with other mats. Less "bounce" and "skip" also means less wear and tear on both your body and your expensive clubs.
APPLICATIONS: Fairway Feel mats are ideal for driving range tees or as relief for, or in place of, grass. Great for use on par 3 tees or as a temporary teeing area on regular tees during maintenance or reconstruction. Use anywhere real grass is desired but hard to grow and maintain.
INSTALLATION: Fairway Feel should be installed in their original size only -- either as 5' x 5' mats or 10' x 44" rolls. Because the FAIRWAY FEEL mat is a woven product, it will unravel if cut. Fairway Feel can be installed in one of three ways:
- On an already existing concrete tee area
. No preparation or maintenance is required. Simply place the mats in position and use.
- Permanently in a grass tee area
.
- Cut out an area as you would to lay a piece or roll of sod. (Keep in mind the dimensions of the Fairway Feel - either a 5' x 5' mat or a 10' x 44" roll. You cannot cut the FAIRWAY FEEL into smaller dimensions, or cut pieces or holes in the mat. Fairway Feel mats are a woven product which will unravel when cut.)
- To allow water drainage under the mats, a one inch base of fine crushed stone, leveled and compacted, is recommended as the top layer in the cut out area. The mats can now be put down on this surface. For areas where drainage is a major problem, it may be necessary to include a permeable drain line under the layer of crushed stone.
- To facilitate mowing, the mat surface should be just below the desired moving height of the rest of the tee. This will allow for easy mowing without damaging the mat.
- Temporary Installation
. Simply choose a level area and lay down on top of the existing surface.
MAINTENANCE: Once installed no further preparation or maintenance is required. (i.e. sanding) Clean the top surface as necessary by sweeping or spraying with water. Allow ample time for this natural fiber mat to dry before play. Mats placed on concrete pads can be flipped over to decrease drying time.
LIFE EXPECTANCY & WEAR: The application and length of season have a great deal to do with a FAIRWAY FEEL mat's life expectancy. When installed like sod, Fairway Feel mats should last approximately 2 playing seasons.
COLOR: The Coir fiber used in the Fairway Feel mat is naturally brown. The FAIRWAY FEEL mat is dyed green, but it will fade to its natural brown color over time. After heavy rain or spraying, the mats should be allowed to dry out before play to prevent splashing. The durability of the mats is not affected by fading color.
SHEDDING: The thick pile of this woven product will go through a natural period of "shedding." The surface of the mat comes off the loom much rougher than the finished product and goes through a shearing process to smooth it. Some of the shorn Coir fibers end up in the pile and work their way out, especially when the mat is new.
